Expectant Faith Increases My Ability
1 Samuel 17:49 “David hurled a stone from his sling and hit the Philistine in the forehead. The stone sank in, and Goliath stumbled and fell face downward to the ground.”
God brought deliverance through a very ordinary means. He increased David’s ability. He took something that David already did and anointed it supernaturally to bring a miracle.
God wants to work with you. Faith is not just sitting back and waiting for God – faith actively seeks to unite God’s power with my surrender. I have a part to play in expecting the best. That’s what Jesus meant when He said in Matthew 9:29, “According to your faith will it be done to you.”
According to your faith – it’s up to you. You have a lot of faith, you will get a lot done. You have a little faith you’ll get a little done. You have no faith you’ll get nothing done.
You have a part to play – according to your faith be it unto you. God is the source, but you’ve got to act. David threw the stone.
