“My people have defrauded me,” says the Lord
The Lord woke me at 4:19 a.m. on June 5. I asked why he had awakened me at that time, and immediately an answer came. “419” is the international code for criminal fraud. “My people have defrauded me,” the Lord said.
Hear the word of the Lord: “My people have defrauded me, says the Lord. They have played the trickster. They have duped, lied, and cheated me. While they promise me their loyalty, they instead deny me their love and devotion. My people steal from me and withhold their time and attention from me. But I will be honored amongst my people. I will be glorified in them, for I am looking for a people who are pure and clean in my eyes.
“My people claim to be seeking my interests, but they are only seeking what they can claim from me. They pretend to offer me themselves, but it is all a scam.
“So cleanse yourselves from your filthiness and from your flesh, says the Lord. For I am coming to cleanse my house. I am coming to purify my people. I am coming to redeem my inheritance from the corruption of this world. I will be glorified in your midst, in the midst of my people, says the Lord.”
